Her Voice Media Fellowship
The Her Voice Media Fellowship is a year-long leadership and workforce development program designed for emerging women storytellers, creatives, and changemakers. Fellows receive hands-on training, mentorship from industry professionals, and paid opportunities to produce real-world work across journalism, podcasting, photography, film, and digital media. Throughout the year, participants build professional portfolios, strengthen their leadership skills, and grow the confidence to lead in media, business, and their communities.
Girls on Fire:School-based programming
Girls on Fire: School-Based Programming is Her Voice Media’s research-informed school-based leadership program designed to strengthen girls’ self-esteem, support positive mental health, and build real-world career readiness. Through weekly hands-on experiences in media, storytelling, performing arts, and leadership development, participants build confidence, emotional resilience, communication skills, and a stronger sense of identity—all while being mentored by caring adults and creative professionals. Rooted in evidence from social-emotional learning and youth development models, Girls on Fire helps girls thrive in the classroom, in their communities, and in their future careers.
Big Pink Check
The Big Pink Check is Her Voice Media’s newest recognition program celebrating everyday girls who make their schools and communities better. These are the quiet leaders, the kind friends, the helpers, and the girls who show up for others without expecting anything in return. Through surprise school visits and community nominations, we honor girls whose impact deserves to be seen and celebrated.
At its heart, the Big Pink Check is about visibility and joy. When girls are recognized publicly for who they are and what they contribute, it sparks confidence, belonging, and possibility. Each surprise moment — balloons, cheers, and a video telling her story — reminds her that her voice matters and her leadership is real. Our goal is simple: celebrate girls early and often, and make sure they know they deserve to shine.
